About

From an early age, I knew what I wanted to do; however, thanks to the ever-humbling power of Hindsight, that vision was most fortunately for me, the path that also wasn’t too clear. I navigated my studies and found myself gravitating towards what topics spoke to me the loudest. I later realized loud doesn’t always equal “good”, but at the same time, these lovely detours along the path helped cultivate my growth. As an undergrad, I studied psychology at UT- Austin which carried me to exploring the mind and all its inner machinations. This led me to signing up as a research assistant in the Individual Differences in Evolutionary Psychology Lab and in the Cognitive and Developmental Psychology Lab. It was here I padded my already stoked interests in relationships, couples, people and their decisions. It furthered my desire to apply it in real time. People are fascinating to learn about, but I felt much more joy during the connections!

Afterwards, I completed my Master’s in Counseling at St. Edward’s University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2016. My curriculum and internship experience set a nice foundation for me to continue my post-graduate work. I started my work at Therapy Austin after becoming licensed February 2017 (#202943). Since then, I traveled the road of starting a practice, deepening my knowledge, and following my curiosity. I later transitioned to private practice in 2018 when the time felt right for me.

In essence, I enjoy working with people looking to understand how they are relating to the most important areas of their lives. What’s working and what isn’t? What’s the pattern and what do we do about it? In my work, I’ve found many of the people that gravitate toward me find themselves with a deeper knowing of “something isn’t working for me here”, but they need the right space to understand why. Because I’ve taken the most utmost care with my inner work and have taken some pretty radical explorations, I’m open to what can be considered the most therapeutic for any one person, couple, and family. Our systems know how to heal themselves in a way…in the right time and space sealed with the right encouragement.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active with different physical pursuits, reading/listening to whatever ignites my mental passions, exploring new musical tastes, and spending quality time with close friends. In my life, I’ve found the physical care & exercise of my body to be one of the most difficult yet rewarding relationships I created, and I realize this relationship is the foundation in doing what I love to do. I maintain and cultivate a daily spiritual practice by prayer, ritual, and exploring different techniques, as I find the path of Self Discovery to be illuminating and rewarding. I fully believe if I’m not evolving through self growth, introspection and fun, then I’m not fulfilling the deeper purpose I have within me.
