Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you offer telehealth video appointments?
A: Yes! Due to Covid-19 protocols, this is an option I’m offering with my work. I’m licensed to practice with clients who are residents of Texas which also makes therapy more accessible if you’re not close to my office. Please inquire within to see if telehealth video is a good fit for our work together.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: No, I do not accept insurance at this time.
Q: What’s a sliding scale fee?
A: It’s a fee for a therapy session at a reduced rate. These fees are first come, first served. These help me offer therapy at a more affordable rate while also being able to maintain my practice. Please inquire within if you’re seeking individual therapy and would need a reduced fee.
Q: What forms of payment do you take?
A: Credit cards, Debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards only. No cash, no check.
Q: What’s your cancelation policy?
A: I highly value my time and yours, so please provide greater than 24 hours notice when canceling. Less than 24 hrs. notice results in the full charge of your session fee. Clients who No Call/No Show the first session will be referred out immediately.
Q: How do I know if my partner and I are a good fit for couples therapy?
A: Couples therapy with me works best if both partners are in agreement to give the process a shot — the means showing up regularly and putting in the effort! I don’t personally invest in who is right and who is wrong, but rather ask you: how do we make this relationship work with the skills that help us grow? What that relationship looks like is what’s up to you. Please note that couples engaging in domestic violence prior to therapy are not a good fit for my work.
Q: How do I make therapy work for me financially?
A: First, be honest and realistic about what you can invest, per session or per month. Second, have a budget for therapy that respects your financial health, as a budget is a strong habit that cannot be broken. If my fee is a barrier for you to work with me, then please inquire anyway as I would be able to provide appropriate referrals for you.
